The City of White House Board of Zoning and Appeals will meet Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 7:00 p.m., in the Board Chambers Room of the Billy S. Hobbs Municipal Building, at 105 College Street in White House, to hear the following request:
       Item #1   Accurate Image Ministries: Requests a special exception to allow a Church and Places of Community Assembly Use in a C-6, Town Center Commercial District. Property is referenced as Sumner County Taz Map 107-G,  Group A, Parcel 040.00. Property is zoned C-6, Town Center Commercial District and is located at 3301 Highway 31W.

 Board of Mayor and Aldermen
Thursday, April 19, 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Mayor and Aldermen of the City of White House, Tennessee, will meet in regular session on Thursday, April 19, 2018, for the purpose of hearing the following:

a.      Ordinance 18-04: An ordinance amending the existing Springbrook development master plan on South Palmers Chapel Road to include the Hawk View Ridge preliminary master plan for the undeveloped portion of project property. Second Reading.

b.      Ordinance 18-05: An ordinance amending the Municipal Code Title 2, Chapter 2 Library Board, Sections 2-208 and 2-210. Second Reading.

The meeting will take place at 7:00 pm at the Billy S. Hobbs Municipal Center located at 105 College Street. 

The following resolutions were passed at the March 15, 2018, Board of Mayor and Aldermen meetings: 

a.    Resolution 18-03: A resolution authorizing participation in The Pool’s “Property Conservation” Loss Control Matching Grant Program.

b.    Resolution 18-04: A resolution adopting Section 125 Premium Only Plan for plan year ending March 31, 2019.

 The City of White House Planning Commission will meet in a regular scheduled meeting on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 7:00 p.m., in the Board Chambers Room of the Billy S. Hobbs Municipal Building, at 105 College Street to discuss the following proposed Subdivision Regulations amendments:

 

Item # 1     Planning/Codes Staff Requests  

-Section 4-104.405 Arrangement of Dead-End Streets (iii) Temporary Turnarounds-
Increase minimum cul-de-sac pavement radius for streets 
exceeding one hundred and fifty (150’) in length from minimum forty (40’) feet paved radius to forty-five (45’) feet paved radius.

 

-Section 4-104.405 Arrangement of Dead-End Streets (b) Permanent Dead-End Public Ways (ii) Design of Turnarounds-
Include reference to City’s adopted Fire 
Code for alternative turnaround designs.

-Table 2 General Design Standards for Streets – Turnaround Standard (No Outlet Streets).-
Increase minimum cul-de-sac pavement radius for streets between 
150’ to 580’ feet from forty (40’) feet paved radius to forty-five (45’) feet paved radius and revise existing alternative turnaround designs to include reference to City’s adopted Fire Code.

 

-Section 111 Typical Sections -Typical Road Sections – Revise Standard Cul-De-Sac Detail Drawings C-1 and C-2-
Increase right-of-way radius from fifty (50’) 
feet to fifty-five (55’) feet with notations about increased sidewalk and grass strip widths and delete drawing C-3.

 

-Section 111 Typical Sections -Typical Road Sections –
Revise roadway sections to reference amended mountable curb and gutter standard.

-Section IV Materials Specification and Construction Procedure- (4) Culverts and Storm Drains-
Revise to prohibit metal and plastic pipes and culverts.

-Section IV Materials Specification and Construction Procedure- (8) Extruded Concrete or Formed Curb and Gutter-
Revise to remove all other refences to curb types other than mountable standard curb. 

-Section IV Materials Specification and Construction Procedure- SR 202-Mountable Curb with Gutter and DR-130- Frame and Grate for Mountable Curb and Gutter-
Revise to include amended mountable curb and gutter standard.
