City of White House Job Listings


 

 

The City of White House is looking for people interested in working for a public service entity. Many positions involve direct contact with the public, either in person or by telephone. There are computerized systems throughout the departments, so data entry and word processing are an important part of the operations. Types of Positions and Work Hours

The city employs over 85 full-time employees. Jobs vary in nature such as accounting specialist, secretary, wastewater technician, sanitation worker, parks maintenance, police officers and others. The city also offers a variety of professional-level positions in the areas of management. City employees in administrative positions typically work 7:15 am to 5:15 pm, Monday through Thursday. Other hours may be required depending on the position.

 

City Departments and Pay Grades

There are eleven departments within the city: Administration, Engineering, Finance, Fire, Human Resources, Library, Parks, Planning & Codes, Police, Public Works and Wastewater. Salaries are established in accordance with the requirements of each position. There is a minimum and maximum salary within each pay range.

Cemetery Groundskeeper: (Job Description)

The City of White House is hiring for a Cemetery Groundskeeper. This  position mows cemetery property, does routine landscaping, and a variet of related maintenance. A valid Tennessee Operator's License is required. Pay starts at $9.38 / hour. Must be at least 18 year old. Not eligible for benefits.
