The City's mission statement is,"Working towards the daily pursuit of excellence in management and delivery of services while balancing the preservation of our small town atmosphere by nurturing orderly, proactive growth." 

In this section you will find information pertaining to the following:

 

·        Board of Mayor and Alderman – Find out information about the governing body of the City of White House.  This body is responsible for establishing the City's policies and procedures by passing resolutions and municipal ordinances, all of which are implemented and administered by the various city departments. 

 

·        Advisory Boards/Commissions – Find out about the boards and commissions within White House that make recommendations to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen or conduct their own business.  Some groups make recommendations to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen for final approval.  Others oversee the direction and administration of city facilities, such as the library or cemetery.  Some issue permits or review decisions made by other boards.  Each board and commission is provided with certain powers and responsibilities that are outlined by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen either by resolution or ordinance.
