Commercial Design Standards
The Commercial Design Standards, in addition to the existing zoning ordinances, will ensure unified and compatible commercial developments and provide a consistent level of quality throughout the community. The standards are comprised of three main design topics: site planning, streetscape, and building architecture.
Examples of site planning design would be natural resource preservation, parking design, landscaping, and building locations. Streetscape design would include, but not be limited to, the following items: sidewalks, lighting, and utilities. Examples of building architecture design would be building height, mass, scale, exterior colors and materials.
